Torrid
Credit Card
Torrid and Torrid.com are one of the biggest retail stores today.
Loyal clients of the store can now take advantage of the perks and rewards it offers through the Torrid
credit card. Benefits of the Torrid credit card include access to an online account, a 15% discount on the
first purchase, and 10-dollar reward certificates for every 200 dollars worth of purchases charged on the card.
Holding a Torrid credit card also gives you access to exclusive deals and promos offered by Torrid and Torrid.com
such as sale notification, shopping events, and birthday gifts.
The fees attached to the Torrid credit card include a 24.99% purchase APR which can vary depending on the Prime
Rate. It also imposes a minimum interest charge of 1 dollar. Penalty fees for the Torrid credit card include a
returned payment fee of 25 dollars and late payment fees of 29 dollars for balances starting from 250 dollars and
25 dollars for balances below the said amount. Torrid credit card holders that prefer to receive their monthly
statements on paper shall also be charged 1 dollar for every paper mailed to them. This is why they have the option
to go paperless or electronic on their monthly billing statements. There is also no need to worry about annual fees
since the Torrid credit card does not charge any.
The Torrid credit card is issued by the World Financial Network National Bank (WFNNB). To apply for the Torrid
credit card, you can go to any Torrid store near you to fill out an application form or submit an application
online through the store’s website. However, you should be a permanent resident of the United States and over 21
years old to be qualified for a Torrid credit card. If you are between 18 and 21 years old, your application should
be “in writing” to comply with the Federal Law. Applicants with good credit rating may get instant approval and can
get their cards in 5 to 7 business days. Those with a fair or lower credit rating will be notified by the WFNNB
about the status of their application in 7 to 10 business.
The Torrid credit card is a store/retail card. This means that it charges a relatively higher interest
rate than other types of credit cards. Though it is kinder to applicants with bad or no credit history, you should
be prepared to pay your monthly bills on time if you don’t want interest rates and monthly fees mounted on you.
