cards. The organization offers four types of credit cards. Each Desert Schools credit card is
issued and managed by Elan Financial Services. The following is an overview of the features of Desert Schools’
Visa® Signature Card.
The Visa® Signature Card is the Desert Schools credit card for those who are into low interests and rewards
programs. The Visa® Signature Card is a premier rewards card without the annual fee. It offers 1% cash back on all
purchases and gives the cardholder 1 point for every dollar spent. These points can be redeemed for rewards such as
merchandise, electronic items, gift cards, and travel discounts. 25,000 points is all you need for a roundtrip
ticket from any major airline company.
Other benefits from this Desert Schools credit card include exclusive Visa Signature features that are not offered
by other types of Visa cards. Visa Signature features include extended warranty coverage of up to 1 year on
purchases made with the Desert Schools credit card, zero liability for fraudulent purchases in case the card is
lost or stolen, protection from Verified by Visa (a protection program that asks for a cardholder’s password when
the card is used for online purchases), free supplementary card, free credit card convenience checks, and 24/7 card
member customer service.
Additional features of this Desert Schools credit card courtesy of Visa Signature include a travel accident
insurance of up to $1,000,000, a car rental collision or damage waiver, a free car collision or damage insurance,
and a travel assistance service that helps replace lost tickets or obtain legal or medical referrals.
The Desert Schools Visa Signature credit card is also equipped for international use with over 20 million locations
and over a million ATMs accepting Visa worldwide. A Desert Schools credit card holder can also enjoy seating

This Desert Schools credit card offers 0% APR on purchases and balance transfers for the first six months and 2,500
bonus points when the card is used for the first time. The regular APR for purchases, cash advances, and balance
transfers ranges from 9.99% to 17.99% depending on the cardholder’s creditworthiness. The minimum interest charge
for this Desert Schools credit card is $2. For balance transfers, convenience checks, and overdraft protection, the
transaction fee is either 3% of the amount or $5, whichever is greater. Cash advances also have a 4% or $5
transaction fee, not including cash equivalent advances, which cost 4% or $10 in transaction fees. This Desert
Schools credit card also takes 2% to 3% every time a foreign ATM is used for cash advance transactions. Penalty
fees for this Desert Schools credit card include a $39 returned payment fee and a late payment fee of $19
(balances below $100), $29 (balances from $100 to $250), or $39 (balances beyond $250).
