repertoire.
Peoples Bank has two major personal credit cards to date: the Maximum Rewards® Platinum Edition® Visa® Card and the
Platinum Edition® Visa® Card. Both of these cards offer very competitive interest rates and an access to online
banking services. Being from Visa® also adds more features to both cards, which include travel assistance, security
against identity theft, and extended warranty and purchase protection programs. Each Peoples Bank credit
card also allows users to customize the card’s appearance by adding a photo or artistic borders.
The Maximum Rewards® Platinum Edition® Visa® Card is the Peoples Bank credit card for consumers who want the
ultimate rewards program. This Peoples Bank credit card awards 1.5 points for every dollar spent on qualifying
purchases. Accumulate these points and get a chance to exchange them for additional merchandise, cash, gift cards,
and even travel packages to the best getaway destinations. These rewards are available online and can be redeemed
at the click of a button.
This Peoples Bank credit card has a very low variable purchase APR. It can range from 12.99% to 15.99% depending on
the cardholder’s credit history and payment habits. Other fees include a minimum finance charge of 1.75 dollars, an
over the limit fee of 39 dollars and a late payment fee of 35 dollars for new balances below 500 dollars and 39
dollars for those equal to or above 500.
The other Peoples Bank credit card that you can choose is the Platinum Edition® Visa® Card. With an introductory
purchase APR of 0% for the first six months and a continued competitive rate after, this card is a must-have. The
competitive APR can run as low as 8.99%, 11.99%, or 15.99% depending on the user’s credit rating and his/her
payment habits. Fees for this Peoples Bank credit card are similar to that of the Maximum Rewards® Platinum
Edition® Visa® Card.
Both cards also have no monthly or annual fees and even offer a grace period of 20 days or less to cardholders who
are having a hard time paying their bills (provided that the cardholder has paid his/her previous new balance in
full on time). Interested applicants, however, are required to have at least a fair credit rating to be approved
for either Peoples Bank credit card. Those who plan to apply for the card to reestablish or improve their
credit rating may want to start looking for other options.
