Nova
Credit Card
Operating as a community savings bank in Pennsylvania, Nova Bank offers a wide variety of financial solutions to
Pennsylvania clients including credit card services.
Nova Bank offers two types of Visa® credit cards: the Platinum Edition® Visa® Card and the Maximum Rewards(SM)
Platinum Edition® Visa® Card. Having either Nova credit card gives the consumer Visa® Platinum
benefits which include an extended warranty, the Visa's Zero Liability Program, the purchase protection program, an
emergency travel assistance program and security against identity theft through its FirstGuard® program.
The Platinum Edition® Visa® Card is intended for people with good or perfect credit rating. This Nova credit card
has an introductory APR of 0% for the first 12 billing cycles and, thereafter, a variable APR ranging from 9.99% to
13.99%. Although it has one of the lowest interest rates a credit card can have, the actual APR will still depend
on the cardholder’s payment and spending habits. This Nova credit card also offers an APR of 3.99% for all balance
transfers completed during the first 3 billing cycles. People who are into rewards may find this Nova credit card
lacking but the extremely low interest rate is already a reward in itself. Aside from not having to pay any annual
fee, cardholders are also given the option to access and manage their accounts online, something that can save them
a lot of trouble in the future. For higher chances of approval, an applicant of this Nova credit card needs a FICO
score of at least 722.
Those who prefer rewards may find the Maximum Rewards(SM) Platinum Edition® Visa® Card a better choice. This Nova
credit card offers a flexible rewards program that allows the cardholder to choose from different kinds of rewards,
including travel packages, merchandise, gift cards, etc. Its point system awards 1.5 points for every dollar spent
on qualifying purchases. It even awards 5000 bonus points when a card is used within the first 3 billing months
after opening an account. This Nova credit card also offers no annual fee and an introductory APR of 0% for the
first twelve months. This APR changes to 12.99% to 15.99% after one year depending on the cardholder’s spending and
payment habits. To get approval for this Nova credit card, an applicant must have a good to excellent credit rating
and a FICO score of at least 740.
Applicants can now go online to apply for a Nova credit card. The approval time may take as little as a
few hours with its instant approval program or a few weeks when a questionable application is
submitted.
