FNBO
Credit Card
The first National Bank of Omaha (FNBO) is the largest private commercial bank in the United States with over 6
million customers across the country.
FNBO has more than 35 branches in three states including Iowa, Texas, and Nebraska. As part of its services, FNBO
offers a variety of credit cards ranging from personal to business. The Platinum Edition FNBO credit
card is just one of the credit card series it offers.
The Platinum Edition is considered to be the premier credit card from FNBO. What does a Platinum Edition FNBO
credit card offer? First, it comes in Visa and MasterCard so worldwide acceptance is not a problem. Second, it
offers three types of protection programs to cardholders: the Purchase Protection program that shields from theft
and damage, the Extended Warranty program that doubles the warranty of all US-manufactured purchases, and a Travel
Assistance program for emergencies during travel that includes a Travel Accident Insurance and discounts on
selected auto rental agencies.
The Platinum Edition® MasterCard® Card is the Platinum FNBO credit card from MasterCard. It comes with a zero
annual fee offer and an introductory APR of 0% for the first six months. After this period, the purchase APR will
range from 9.99% to 16.99%, depending on the credit worthiness of the Platinum FNBO credit card holder. The same
rates apply to balance transfers. However, for cash advances, the APR is a variable 25.24%. When a cardholder
misses a payment, a penalty APR of 29.99% will be applied. Other fees include a $1.75 minimum finance charge, a
foreign transaction fee of 3% of the amount in U.S. dollars, a cash advance transaction fee of 5% of the amount or
$15, and a balance transfer fee of 4% of the amount or $10. The penalty fee for late payments is $35 for current
balances below $500 or $39 for those starting from $500. A 21-day grace period is given to pay for balances without
the interests.
The Platinum FNBO credit card from Visa is the Platinum Edition® Visa® Card. The features and rates of this FNBO
credit card are the same as those of the MasterCard. You just have to choose which company you prefer, Visa or
MasterCard.
Those who want an upgraded version of the Platinum FNBO credit card can choose the Maximum Rewards® Platinum
Edition® Visa® Card. In terms of fees and interest rates, it’s on the same page as the two previous cards (minus
the introductory APR). However, it offers the added advantage of earning points for all purchases made on the card.
Its Maximum Rewards program allows a Platinum FNBO credit card holder to earn at least 1.5 points for
every dollar spent on qualifying purchases. These points, when accumulated, can be exchanged for gift cards,
merchandise, or airline tickets. There is no limit to the number of points one can earn so you can keep on swiping
for more rewards.
